INDIVIDUAL COACHING
You Can't Change Your Spouse.
But That Doesn't Mean You're Powerless.
You may be the only one ready to look at things differently right now.
Maybe your spouse isn't interested in coaching. Maybe you're trying to understand your own reactions, desires, boundaries, or patterns. Or maybe you're simply tired of waiting for something outside of you to change before you can feel differently about yourself and your relationship.
Individual coaching gives you a place to get curious about you: what you're thinking, feeling, wanting, avoiding, choosing, and creating in your relationships.
Not so you can take responsibility for everything.
So you can get clearer about what actually belongs to you and what you want to do with it.
MAYBE YOU’VE BEEN THINKING…
How Much Can Really Change If I’m the Only One Doing the Work?
It can feel frustrating when you’re ready to look at your relationship differently and your spouse isn’t in the same place.
Maybe you’ve tried explaining what you need, having the conversation one more time, changing how you approach them, or waiting for them to finally understand why this matters so much to you.
And somewhere along the way, it can start to feel like your options are either to keep trying to change them or simply accept that this is how things are.
There’s another option.
You can get curious about what’s happening inside of you and the patterns you participate in, while still allowing your spouse to be responsible for theirs.
Individual coaching might be for you if…
✓ You keep getting pulled into the same relationship patterns and want to understand why.
✓ You’re not sure how to ask for what you want without overexplaining, managing, withdrawing, or becoming frustrated.
✓ You spend a lot of energy trying to figure out what your spouse is thinking, feeling, or doing.
✓ You want to better understand your own experience with sex, desire, intimacy, or affection.
✓ You want stronger boundaries without using them to control or punish your spouse.
✓ You’re tired of measuring how your relationship is doing by your spouse’s mood, reactions, or choices.
✓ Your spouse isn’t interested in coaching, but you’re ready to grow anyway.
✓ You want to feel more confident in what you think, feel, want, and choose.
You don’t have to take responsibility for the whole relationship to start taking responsibility for yourself.
This Isn’t About Becoming a Better Version of Yourself for Your Spouse.
Individual coaching is a place to slow things down and understand what’s actually happening inside of you.
Instead of spending all of our time analyzing why your spouse does what they do, we’ll get curious about your stories, reactions, desires, fears, expectations, boundaries, and choices.
We’ll look at the places where you may be managing, performing, avoiding, overfunctioning, shutting down, or waiting for someone else to change.
Not so you can judge yourself for those patterns.
So you can recognize them and decide what you want to choose instead.
RECOGNIZE
Notice the stories, patterns, reactions, and behaviors that may be shaping how you experience yourself and your relationship.
WHAT TO EXPECT
GET CURIOUS
Understand what’s underneath your reactions without immediately trying to fix, judge, justify, or blame yourself or your spouse.
CHOOSE
Practice responding from what you actually believe, value, desire, and want to create instead of automatically repeating the same pattern.
The goal isn’t to become better at managing your spouse. It’s to become more intentional about being you.
You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out Before You Come.
Sometimes you know exactly what you want help with. Other times, you just know something feels off, confusing, frustrating, or harder than you want it to be.
You can bring the relationship questions you’re wrestling with, the patterns you keep noticing, the conversations you’re avoiding, or the parts of yourself you’re trying to understand better.
We’ll start with what’s happening for you right now.
RELATIONSHIPS & COMMUNICATION
Feeling stuck in repeated patterns
Speaking up for what you want
Setting and holding boundaries
Overfunctioning or people-pleasing
Conflict, defensiveness, or shutting down
Figuring out what actually belongs to you
WHAT CAN WE TALK ABOUT?
SEX, DESIRE & INTIMACY
Understanding your own desire
Spontaneous and responsive desire
Sex that feels pressured or obligatory
Difficulty asking for what you want
Body image or sexual confidence
Creating more choice, curiosity, and presence
SELF-AWARENESS & CHOICE
Understanding the stories you tell yourself
Recognizing automatic reactions
Managing versus actually feeling
Perfectionism and performance
Building confidence in your own choices
Responding intentionally instead of automatically
You don’t need to come to coaching knowing the answer. Curiosity is a really good place to start.
WHEN YOU’RE THE ONE DOING THE WORK
Can Working on Yourself Really Change Your Marriage?
Yes, but maybe not in the way you think.
Individual coaching isn’t about learning the right things to say so your spouse will finally respond differently. And it isn’t about changing yourself enough that they’ll become the partner you want them to be.
You don’t get to control their side of the relationship.
But you can begin to understand what you bring into the patterns between you.
You can notice when you’re managing instead of asking. When you’re performing instead of being honest. When you’re staying quiet to avoid discomfort, overexplaining to get someone to understand, or making your spouse’s response mean something about your worth.
And when your part of the pattern changes, the pattern itself can’t keep happening in exactly the same way.
THIS ISN’T ABOUT HAVING MORE CONTROL.
It’s about having more choice.
You can learn to say what you actually want without demanding a particular response.
You can set a boundary without trying to control someone else.
You can make an invitation without taking responsibility for whether it’s accepted.
You can feel disappointment without making someone else responsible for fixing it.
You can love your spouse while still being honest about what is and isn’t working for you.
Your power isn’t in getting your spouse to change. It’s in becoming more intentional about what you choose.
Coaching That Meets You Where You Are.
You don’t need to commit to months of coaching or have a perfectly defined goal before we start.
Bring what feels important right now. A conversation you can’t stop replaying. A pattern you’re beginning to notice. Questions about sex or desire. A boundary you’re struggling to hold. Something you want but aren’t sure how to ask for.
We’ll start there.

What happens in a session?
You don’t need to show up with the perfect question or a list of everything you want to work on.
We’ll start with what’s happening in your life or relationship right now and slow it down enough to get curious about it.
We might explore the story you’re telling yourself, what you’re feeling, what you actually want, the pattern you’re participating in, or the choices available to you that are hard to see when you’re right in the middle of it.
You’ll leave with more than something to think about. We’ll identify practical ways to practice what you’re learning in your actual life and relationships.
The goal is greater awareness, more choice, and the confidence to show up more intentionally as yourself.

STILL WONDERING?
-
Your spouse may absolutely have things that belong to them. Individual coaching isn’t about pretending everything is your responsibility or finding a way to tolerate behavior that isn’t okay. We focus on your side because that’s where you have the most choice: what you believe, what you want, how you communicate, what boundaries you set, and how you choose to respond.
-
It can change the way you participate in your relationship. As you become more aware of your patterns and more intentional about your choices, the dynamic between you may shift too. But the goal isn’t to change yourself as a strategy for getting your spouse to change. It’s to help you show up in your relationship with more clarity, honesty, and choice.
-
Absolutely. We can talk openly about desire, sex, affection, initiation, rejection, pressure, body image, spontaneous and responsive desire, what you want, what you don’t want, and the stories you’ve developed around intimacy. You don’t need to have the right language before we start.
-
That’s okay. Sometimes discovering what you actually think, feel, desire, and want is the work. You don’t need to arrive with the answers. We can get curious together.
-
No. Coaching and therapy can both be valuable, but they serve different purposes. My work focuses on helping you recognize patterns, increase self-awareness, clarify what you want, and practice making more intentional choices moving forward. If something comes up that would be better supported by a licensed mental health professional, I’ll encourage you to seek that support.
-
Yes. If you begin individually and later decide you’d like to work together as a couple, we can talk about whether transitioning to couples coaching makes sense.
-
There’s no required package or long-term commitment. Some people meet regularly for a season, while others schedule when something specific comes up or they’re ready for their next step. We can decide what makes the most sense for you.
